Arludik Presents : An illustrious International Association with CTN

The Creative Talent Network (CTN), known as the exclusive community for top artists in the animation industries and host to the premiere event of the year, the CTN animation eXpo®, is proud to announce its association with the Arludik Gallery, an exclusive high level art gallery located in Paris, France.

Created by artists, for artists, CTN’s founder Tina Price is an award-winning animator, industry pioneer, and a 25-year animation veteran from Walt Disney Animation.  "This association brings a very exciting element to CTN's existing business and also opens doors for both the local and international creative community." says Tina Price.  "My focus for CTN remains on ‘putting the talent center stage’ and I am personally very excited about the opportunities presented by this association with Arludik Gallery."

Now entering its fourth year, CTN began its global outreach with the first CTN animation eXpo® in 2009 when legendary British cartoonist Ronald Searle endorsed the event.  Since then, appearances by visionary French fantasy illustrator Jean Giraud Moebius in 2010, eclectic Argentinian filmmaker Oscar Grillo, and French graphic novel artist Regis Loisel in 2011 have highlighted CTN events.  Continuing this remarkable tradition of talent, legendary U.S. animator Glen Keane and innovative futurist Syd Mead and Argentinian caricaturist Pablo Lobato are joining the eXpo® in 2012.

"I gather extraordinary people from every corner of our industry to See, Hear, Engage and Discover what it means to be a creator in this industry. We currently have an international attendance of approximately 12%. It is tremendously rewarding to me and creatively beneficial for artists to interact with those artists of yesterday and today combined with those of tomorrow. I look forward to increasing that international percentage and to hosting additional CTN events in Paris."  Tina continues.

CTN knows that connecting, observing, and sharing with others who have a passion for what they do is key to the success of a creator. To that end, eXpo® partners have included industry leaders Animation Mentor, Animation World Network, Blue Sky Animation, Disney Television Animation, Disney Toons, Dreamworks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Toon Boom Animation, WACOM, Walt Disney Animation and Woodbury University and is held in Burbank, CA., the "Animation Capital of the World."

“For nearly 10 years,” says JJ and Diane Launier, creators of the Arludik Gallery, “the Gallery has been showing great artists from all over the world, such as the Frenchmen Moebius and Sylvain Chomet, the Japanese Katsuhiro Otomo and Mamoru Hosoda, and the Americans Peter de Seve and Glen Keane. This is an opportunity to create a bridge that offers an exhibition showcase across the continents for both Arludik and the CTN.”

In these extremely challenging economic times, jobholders and job seekers have to continue to remain competitive and network globally, and the eXpo® provides ample opportunities. The eXpo® hosts the highly regarded One-On-One Personal Consultations with professionals from top studios and educational institutions along with the well known CTNX @ Night Networking Evenings, Portfolio Review, and Raising the Bar Recruiting with recruiters holding over 300 interviews onsite at the event. This year features the addition of the New Talent Tent, which will showcase up-and-coming artists in a dedicated space.

This association between CTN and Arludik Gallery creates a strong creative conduit between the U.S. and European animation talent markets, paving the way for artists to connect, find jobs, and inspire those currently looking to enter into this profession. Early plans include shared gallery events, with additional opportunities for international talent recruiting and talent recognition reviews and workshops. This year, Arludik Gallery will be hosting a panel of talent at the eXpo® in support of some of the latest animated film releases coming out of Europe.

Their first collaboration is the Arludik/CTN Career Opportunity Scholarship giving some promising new talents from the animation community in France the opportunity to come to the “Animation Capital of the World” in the USA to the eXpo®  and have their talent introduced and showcased to the American Market.
